Sunday surprises!

Hello darlings,
I hope you had a beautiful weekend! I had a fun time, spent Friday night at the Adorn college group at reality, and then came home and watched "He's just not that into you." I hope to one day be the exception, haha. Then Saturday had blenders, say Christopher Lloyd (aka Doc Brown from Back to the Future) and then went to state st to study, and then the bball game, which we won, and then to the party at the Treehouse, which was a blast because I got to meet some new people, and hang out with some of my favorite people. Then woke up this morning, and was greeted by beautiful blue skies, and headed to church, and the drive along the coast was just amazing, and at church we were just in constant prayer for Haiti, as I hope many of you are as well. We learned about this organization called Child Hope International, which is a Godsend to the children of Haiti. I hope and pray you all have a beautiful week!

Just another manic monday!

It all started at about 3am Monday morning... that is when I knew it was going to be quite the week. So at 3am, i got up, and started tossing my cookies.. thats right I was tragically sick. I wasn't able to go back to bed until 6am, and in that time I emailed my professors, and tossed and turned in my bed. I ended up staying in bed all day. i only got out of bed to run over to campus to buy winter formal tix, turned out that was a big mistake.

So I go over there, buy the ticket, and then get back in my car thinking that I should go get gas... i try to turn on the car, it starts and dies. So what do I do, call my dad of course, I make him listen through the phone, he tells me I am out of gas. So I go back into the DC ask to borrow my friends car, go to her apt, pick up the red 5gal gas thing, then go to the gas station, where the gas attendant had to show me what to do. Then I head back up to campus. Mind you, it has just rained, its about 6pm, and it is super windy and about 50degrees out side. so i pull her car up to my car, get out, and attempt to pour the gas into my car, its a no go. One of my guy friends drives by and waves, he must of realized i was in trouble because he backed up and parked, and asked if he could help, i said yes please. I for got to mentiont that the 5gal thing's spout did not fit into the tank's hole, so I went into the DC and had to ask the kitchen for a funnel, so my friend and I attempt to fill the tank with the funnel. We get gasoline all over my car, our hands, and our shoes. Still 50degrees out side and dropping, and my friend had just come from baseball weight training so he is in a tshirt and bball shorts. So then his roommate comes up and suggests that we move the car to another angle so it may be easier to pour the gas in. This would be great if my car actually ran, so I get in, pput the car in neutral, and they get in front of my car, and try to push.. its a no go... they cant budge it even a little.. two more baseball boys walk by and offer to help, so they push my car back enough to get out of the space.. this parking lot is on a hill so I just glide to another spot, and then park so that the tank is now tilted correctly. So we try again, still doesnt work, so one of the guys suggests using a stick to keep the hole open, instead of the funnel. So we do that and we are finally able to get enough gas in so I can make it to a gas station.

Whoever said chilvary is dead does not know guys that I know. They were amazing, and truly my knights in shining armor. So that was my monday, no wonder I hate them so much. haha. However, this also made me thankful, as I was standing out there, freezing, and Im looking at the boy shivering in their shorts and tshirts I was thanking God, for my car, my wonderful, and amazing friends, and the fact that I may be cold at the moment, but that I had a nice warm bed, in a nice warm house to go to.

Oh Monday, you always seem to come too soon!

Hello my loves,
Well my weekend was quite lovely. Friday night I got to act like I was 10 again. We celebrated my beautiful friend Meg's birthday. She is no longer a teenager. However that did not stop us from getting our skate on. A bunch of us went to the local skating rink, and skated the night away. It was a blast, although a few of us did not think so. My friend Mano apparently missed this fun filled activity in his youth, and this was his first time on skates. He did pretty well for a beginner and he was such a sweetie for coming. However, I myself am a seasoned skater. I remember my first pair were pink Barbie ones. I loved them dearly. I had so many birthdays at the skating rink near my house, I was devasted when they tore it down. I remember when I switched from skates to roller blades. My mom told me if I didnt fall that I could use them without wearing all my "protective gear." Oh the good ol' days. Getting out on the rink Friday night I felt at home, I txt my mom and told her I had missed my calling. haha. And to make the night even better we all dressed up in ridiculously bright colors, so that when members of our group fell, it was easier for the 10year olds to skate by and point an laugh. haha we had such agood time. We even dedicated a song to the birthday girl, "party in the USA" by Miley cyrus. It was absolutely fantastic. And to top off the night we got slurpees at 7-11. So much fun!! I hope your weekend was a blast too!!

Sunday inspiration

Hello lovelies,

well it has been quite a week of ups and downs, and in betweens, anyways...
we didnt get to go bungee jumping like we were hoping, but that was ok, because the girls and I filled our day with retail therapy, and a good movie. I ended up getting the long boots, and the british flag tank top. I cant wait to wear them, I'll be sure to take a picture when I do put them on. And we saw Love Happens, and it was very cute, much deeper then I thought it was, and also not such a cliche chick flick, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
In other news, I gave Reality church a second chance, and I really enjoyed it, I got alot out of the message, and it was really nice, and it stirred something inside me that I am excited about checking into, once my idea is in full swing I will be sure to fill you in on my new inspiration.
The pastor talked about filling yourself with the Holy Spirit, and letting that shine through you, and how your relationships are like triangles, and God should be at the top, and as you move closer to God within your relationships, the closer you are to the people in those relationships, and I was just reflecting on that with one of my girlfriends, and it is soo true.. The strongest friendships I have, and even family reltionships are those that are Christ centered, and I just think that is so profound, and invigorating. I am amazed at how God is continually working in my life. Alright, well those are my thoughts for the moment, nothing too exciting happening right now, however I did meet a boy (well kinda) we havent actually met in person, but we are friends of friends, and we started talking on Facebook, of all places, he seems really nice, and I am really excited to see what this new friendship has in store, I think that it is an opportunity for both of us to relate to each other for two very different perspectives, and I am excited at the possibility. As well, on the topic of the internet, I just find it more and more amazing everyday, I have been talking to my friends all over the world in Iraq, and London, and Germany, and it is just so fantastic. It reminds me of Brad Paisley's song "Welcome to the Future"

Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Oh my Monday!

Well hello beatiful people,
Well this weekend was quite interesting. Friday was great, got to spend it with marina, at downtown disney, and we got to indulge in absolutely delicious food, lol at least by my standards. Then I got to play in a softball game because they needed another girl, it was a lot of fun, despite my less then satisfactory performance.
Then Saturday we had a wonderful day, my little brother, mom and I all went out to lunch, and then we went to this new place they just put in and got massages, and then we went and saw the proposal, it was quite a wonderful time. The massages were amazing, and the movie was too cute! I love ryan reynolds.

Then sunday, Father's day, I didnt get to see my father, but I did get to see my wonderful Grandfather, my grandma's prince charming. And I would like to wish all the fathers out there a Happy Late Father's day!! Hope you enjoyed it.As well I would like to wish my two friends, Chino, and Anthony, who are new fathers a very Happy 1st Fathers day, and I wish them many more happy father's days.

So, the weekend was quite a blast, and then there was Monday, my mom let me have the day off, and I was able to enjoy a beautiful summer day with my beautiful best friend, Alyssa. We decided to act like we were little kids all over again, and we road our bikes to the village, which is the downtown of our little city. We decided to eat lunch at this cute restaurant, T.Philips, and then went to our local grind, Classic Coffee, and had the most delicious carmel frappes ever. We literally looked like a scene right out of Now and Then, when they road their bikes out to go swimming. We had a lovely time, and as we were riding back alyss and I realized why I am single when I honked the horn on my bike (yes, i am like a little kid, i have a horn on my pink beach cruiser, i also have a basket) at the most inappropriate time, which of course was when a really cute guy was driving by with his windows down. haha, oh well, I am content with who I am. my best friend, drinking her ginormous coke.

This is me, before we started out on our little biking adventure, posing in front of my brother's dodge dart. just messin' around. Well, on that note, tonight I am going to my cousin's 13th birthday, geez I cant believe he's getting so old. And then off to the midnight showing of Transformers 2, cant wait. I hope all of you have a beautiful rest of your week!!
